After a three year process of applications, knock backs and re-applications I have been granted some funding to complete planting the final areas on my boundary with native shrubs and trees. 3/4 of it I have funded on my own so its a bitter sweet gift from a very difficult state Government….. and they don’t pay in arrears. So the new areas are being sheet mulched near the fence lines and mulched where the grass is not such an issue. All by hand.
Winter has been cold with some snow. The Garlic is happy and much of the winter vege, Kale, Silverbeet and Rocket all enjoyed the cold snap.
Now the Acacia is in bloom and the sun warm, while most mornings this week have seen frost. The dam is full and I am expecting good pasture growth for the goats ….. while we wait for kids due late October.
