October on the land

After a long wait for a shed company that will remain nameless, my shed is finally standing! (its just a bloody shed – how hard is it to get it built)

Jobs for Spring I can now tick off the list were:

Install and connect plumbing from shed to water tank

Position Bee Hive on roof of shed to entice a swarm

Plant more Acacias and bee forage – Callistemon and Melaleuca

Plant water plants in dam

Continue cutting up fallen tree and cover wood pile

The Bee Hive was rubbed inside with beeswax and fresh Lemon Balm. For added attraction I purchased some Bee Pheromones from a Bee Keeping supplies. This was taped to the inside of the lid and can be reused if kept in the fridge. Fingers crossed I have new residents next time I visit.
